Sorry it took so long guys just got over to dads here is my radio in my glove box. I used the mounting cage that came with the pioneer. Used nuts and bolts to attach it to the metal glove box insert I made. I space the cage down with some washers. Then slide radio into the cage. I just took the card board one out unstappled it. Then unfolded it on to some thin gauge sheet metal. I traced it out then folded the metal one just like the card board and riveted it together. Also here is a picture of my two 4 in speakers in a custom bracket mount were the factory 4 x10 went. These speakers were taken from a bmw front and rear door speakers(I used to work at a body shop). The braket is just made of 3/16 plastic using the original 4x10 as a template. Any 4 inch round speaker should work these were just free from junk doors from a 2015 bmw. The remote also works with the glove box door closed. The sensor for it on the radio is very close to the gap around the glove box door 20190413_134824.jpg 20190413_134829.jpg

My original stereo in my '66 has power but I couldn't get any sound out of it. I bought an aftermarket stereo and built this cup/stereo holder.
