Probably one of the first ever made. I will see if mine has a date plate cast into it. Peace WildBill
I've got a 9/16/65. I think I bought that one at a swap meet for $25 in the 1980's. I have 3 other ones to check...
I need to check mine, I think is Jan, 66. The 425 is not the original engine, it is from a Riv GS with the Quadrajet. It was originally built with a 425, but with a Carter. Unfortunately that engine is long gone. I can't remember what my uncle did to it in the mid-70's when it got parked and there's no family alive that remembers. My car was manufactured in Sept. 65 and my uncle ordered it new. It was delivered in October 65, on the 28th I think, which was exactly one month before I was born. It would be cool to have a correct dated intake, even though the engine isn't original (and I am not re-stamping it). Maybe we can work out a trade of some sort? If somebody purchases your, I could ship mine to them, then pay you the shipping to send that one to me? I'll run out later and take some pics of it. Yankees are on playing Cardinals, so I want to watch the game (LOL) Let me know what you think after I post some pics. Thanks, Steve
The intake arrived today and Bill packed it very well. 66Wildcat, where do you live? If the OP's intake was the one you are talking about I have it. I was planning on doing "Doc's Dual plane Mod", but I would rather trade you this one than cut it up. The "sentimental" aspect is more important than me just having fun. Get me some pics, and maybe we can figure out how to swap these. Michael
TrunkMonkey, I'm in St. Louis, MO. I'll PM you. I haven't had a chance to get to the garage to unpack mine, but will make a point to get it out tomorrow evening and take some photos. Thanks, Steve
