Lotsa bucks, but looks nice. looks correct down to the hose clamps. https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/cars-for-sale/buick/riviera/2275622.html?refer=saturday
I thought that car was familiar when I saw it in my Hemmings... If perfection is the thing you want, then this is as close as you're ever going to get to it.
Outstanding car but I understand why he is selling it. I couldn’t enjoy it because I’d be afraid of something happening to it all the time. I like to drive my cars and I’d be worried about every stone chip, where to park, etc.
Finest one on the planet, bar none. Jason did a ridiculous job restoring it. I can't believe he's selling it, but good luck with the sale JZ. It's worth every penny it gets.
It's why I'm not doing much more to the Electra and am actually scared of driving the Wildcat. After all those years of wanting and dreaming about it, the Wildcat is restored and looks great. It's no where near as nice as the subject car, but it does the job for me. So as such, I'm scared to take it anywhere, and like some on this board, you begin to question why you bought it in the first place; didn't we all buy our cars to drive and enjoy? There is something to be said for a car that looks like it's about 5 years old and has some warts; - they're at the point where a rock chip or a parking lot ding isn't going to drive you to suicide. So I prefer to keep my Electra as mechanically perfect as I can, but the body, yeah, it's got warts and will never even place in a show, but it's a blast to drive and use.
Wow. Wow. Um, wow! I'd put it in one of those inflatable bubble garages inside a garage and set up a lawn chair and a beer fridge and just go sit and look at it every night.
That’s probably what I would do too. I’d be afraid to drive it around all of the idiots on the road in my area.
Tell me about it. I took my car out for a drive tonight to pick up some beer. Was almost T boned twice and side swiped once. Made it home safe but if I wasn't being observant, the out come would have been different. Almost have to drive with one foot on the brake.
Haven't seen it, but the spare parts JZ sold me were museum pieces, themselves. From what I've been told, the vehicle could take 1st at Concours D'Elegance. It's a ROA best-of-show winner, complete numbers-matching original GS, and could probably fetch the asking price at Mecum auctions. (and I have the same key fob in my '67... ...)
