I have a question guys. I read an article comparing the 67 gs340 to a 340 dart. In the article it made mention of a sports packages suspension option for the gs 340. What is this?
"For a greater road control an optional Sport Pac consisting of heavy-duty rear stabilizer bar, springs, shock absorber and 15:1 steering ratio is available at extra cost." (from the 1967 buick gs brochure)
strange to me how they could compare the two suspensions. My 66 Buick Special has coil springs etc. while my 69 Dart GTS 340 car has torsion bars which operate completely different than a coil spring setup. I wish I had coils on my dart because the torsion bars are a PITA if you need to do any work under the car(exhaust, trans, steering etc.) The dart steers almost as sloppy as the Buick!
