Hey guys looking for a 9 3:8 Buick rear end with a 3.08 gear I have a 1967 buick riviera GS. Was going to put a Posi unit in this car but can’t seem to find one. Does anyone have another option or spare parts? Located in Vancouver Canada.
Ask Brian Trick or Jim (monzaz) they may have one? Also there was a guy on here I was talking to a week or so ago he had a few 3.08's but was looking at going to a 3.42. I'll see if I can find who he was and link you two together. Cheers, Bob
Thanks Bob I would appreciate that. Excuse my ignorance but if I wanted to go to a Posi unit from a stock 9 3/8 with 3.08 do you know what upgrades id have to do?
You would need to have the posi gears, carrier and pinion gear to swap into the housing. The two guys I mentioned above^^ are rear end guru's and can tell you 100% exactly what you need for the swap. I've asked them some of the same questions you have. I hope this helps!
Ideally, if somebody had a 3.42 Posi rear end from a 67 to 70 Buick for sale that would be best case as I want to do a Posi setup
