    Hey Guys,

I'm checking to see if anyone has some tips or tricks for replacing the rubber hose that feeds the fuel pump. I see where it comes out of the frame but can't see where it connects to the hard line. Is it easy to get to? Do i need to pull the hard out of the clamps to gain access to it?

Anyone that's replaced the rubber hoses at each end of the fuel feed line, let me know the easiest wat to do this.

    Thanks,

The rubber line connects to the underside of the fuel pump. Its a simple hose clamp connection.

Yes, you are correct. I'm talking about the rubber hose between the fuel pump and the main feed (metal) line that runs along the frame to the rear of the car.

Right, so the metal fuel line runs along the frame rail and exits at the front of the engine cradle. From there, a rubber line is connected to it via a hose clamp or a pinch clamp and run to the inlet nipple fitting on the bottom of the fuel fuel pump. The metal line connects to the outlet fitting on the fuel pump and goes to the carb. Hopefully this is what your talking about

I just went and looked at and shined some light on it. I can now see the small clamps holding the feed and return lines on. It just looked like it dissappeared into the frame and i was trying to figure out how to get to it...hahaha.

Ok so now the question is how do you replace that line without all of the fuel in the tank draining out of it when you disconnect it?

There will be a little gas that drains out but it won't empty the tank. If you're worried about it, then make sure you have some rags on hand to clean things up and maybe a small catch can/bucket...and don't have a cigarette hanging out of your mouth when you do it :)
