Hey guys. I'm toying with the idea of selling my 1967 Skylark as I just do not have the time to work on it right now. All my free time is going to my Nailhead Powered 55 Chevy Truck as I'm getting very close to paint on that one. I've always been a 66-67 Skylark fan due to the rear window design. My plans with this one included a fresh repaint minus the white top, 15x7 and 15x8 steel wheels with caps, redo the front seat, carpet, and package tray (all included), and a disc brake conversion.

This was a barn find of sorts except, it was in a high rise apartment parking garage in downtown Portland. The gentleman that built the car in the 90's with the 340 V8 passed away shortly after that and his daughter inherited the car. She moved it around with her before eventually parking it in the bottom of this parking garage. It has not been started in about 7 years and I have not attempted to do so. She was moving again and did not want to deal with it, so I purchased it from her even though my plate was full at the time and still is. It was sold to me with Bill Of Sale and that is the way it will be sold. There are several ways to obtain a title or some states just require Bill Of Sale for older cars.

I do not like rusty cars so, I generally stay away from them. This has been a lifelong NW car so it is pretty solid for being 50 years old. The doors, fenders, hood, windshield area, rockers, floors, frame and back window area are rock solid. The trunk is usable but, has some pitting from where the original trunk mat sat (I removed it and threw it away on the first day I bought it as it was a moisture trap). The rear quarter lips have some minor bubbling. I poked at them and there is no rust through, metal is sound underneath. The core support has rust underneath the battery area. The drivers side rear quarter in front of the wheel has an old bondo repair. Once again, I poked at it and it just seems like a minor shallow dent repair. The drivers fender also has a few dings toward the front eyebrow area.

I was told the 340 only has a little over 5k miles on it since the rebuild. There is an old label on the dash that states the engine rebuild at slightly over 42k miles on the odometer and it now shows 47k IIRC.

I purchased a new Legendary seat cover for the front bench seat, ACC carpet, and package tray. All are included unless you do not want them and I will return them to OPGI. The kicker here is the dash pad and door panels are in really nice shape for their age and will clean up nicely. No rips or cracks. The skirts are included.

I will take more pictures tomorrow and post them.

If the car does not sell soon, I MAY consider parting it out as I know someone could use the dash pad, door panels, engine, and several other hard to find parts. It would kill me to park it out but, I understand there is more value in some of these cars that way. I think it would make for an easy project and a cool driver with a small overall investment.

    Location: Gig Harbor, Washington
    Price:$3,500 OBO

In line,I'm interested because my first new car was in fact a 67 Skylark, I always had a liking for it,jusg went with the 70 for the power..Would that be Washington state or Washington city, the Capital?I think it's the state, but I'm hoping it's the Capital.,as it's much closer to me.Bruno.

Good morning guys. The interior is turquoise with a split bench seat. The dash pad is an original turquoise one and it has not been dyed or cracked. If I part it out, you will be first in line. Washington state is correct. Lack of sun is probably why the dash pad and door panels survived. My bill from OPGI for the seat cover, package tray and carpet was about $700 FWIW. I have had cars shipped coast to coast for around $1k.

Bump for a price drop. $2500 takes it. I do not want to part this car out just yet. It is too good for that and deserves better.
