1968-72 Buick Skylark and GS Throttle Cable

We have now reproduced the factory throttle cable for 68 69 70 71 72 Buick Skylark & GS models. It is the correct size and shaped cable, unlike some others are selling as a replacement. Fits all 4bbl Skylark and GS models. Uses a ball stud on carb and a rectangular bracket mounting on carb (black square fittings at both ends) . Total length of cable is 21" and black housing to firewall is 11 1/2". $39.00 and in stock now!

 

Is it for a 455 or 350? They are different.

 

If it's 21" long with 11.5" spacing, it's for a 455.

Buick Frank McIntyre already reproduces these, and has been selling them for over a year now. Is The Parts Place now selling his, or did they have a new vendor make them?

 

I need one of these.. Mine is broke. Car is a 72 Skylark with a 455.

Called them and they told me it does not fit the 72. hmmm.. Where to get one?

 

If the the Parts Place cable is the same as Frank's, then it will fit a 72. However, you will need a throttle cable bracket from a 70, as this will allow for enough travel to allow the throttle blades to open fully.

That's what I had to do.

Don't buy this product, it's not correct. They advertise as 11.5 from the firewall but it is only 10.25.
