Hello. So happy to finally post and meet Buick Lover. I just purchased a 1968 buick gs 400. It is in pretty good condition. It is ivory gold mist with buckskin interior. It has bucket seatz and a full floor console, ac, remote mirror, power brakes and steering. Someone put black skylark door panels in the car. I already ordered replacements. The car will need the package tray replaced and I ordered that already to. The engine was change to a 1971 455. It has an edelbrock intake and edelbrock carb new as of 2016 and a MSD distributor. The car also has 410 gears, shift kit in the trans and this car is fast. About 2 years ago I bought a 68 buick 400 from a guy in battle creek Michigan. Now as luck has it I am the owner of a gs so I can install the original engine later. I am by no means new to the buick scene. I also have a plum on plum 67 Riviera gs with star wars air cleaner, 1967 buick wildcat coupe that runs but needs work. I am selling the wildcat if someone is interested. and a 1967 buick 225. I need help with my vin and trim tag. Vin is 446378H304435 04A ST 68-44637FL1 245743 Body TR 173 G-2 Paint
Welcome to the Stepchild Nation! Nice GS! Your trim tag indicates it was built the first week of April (04-A) in Flint (H in the VIN, FL on the trim tag) with a black vinyl top and buckskin bucket interior (and the Ivory Gold paint). Happy 50th birthday to yours, too! Patrick
Did the guy in Battle Creek have parts for this car? I’m looking for that trunk piece Gs 400 for my dads 68 GS 400 ?? Any help finding this part would be appreciated Jennifer
