Anybody knows the size of the steering wheel? Is it an exact copy of the 1967 Corvette woodgrain steering wheel? Thanks.
I think the Walnut Corvette wheel for ‘67 and ‘68 is right; it has sharp bends in the spokes and is 4” deep. It should be have layered spokes but installed the spokes are covered by the button so you can’t really see it. You’ll need a hub that matches your ‘68 column, they’re available from the chevy guys. Not sure of diameter (16”?) but they are the same. Patrick
I think the stainless steel "spokes" that angle to the column are longer, so the steering wheel grip will be "pushed" out towards the driver. That may or may not be a factor for you. Duane
Yeah, It made it difficult for me, with such short arms/legs. It might not make a difference for a taller guy. Duane
The ‘68 Buick wheel was part number 9748390. It was ‘68 only Buick, Chevy and Olds. The ‘67 Vette wheel was 9746195. Both were described as Walnut. At some point in the cycle, the 9746195 went obsolete and was superseded by the 9748390. I think they both are 4” deep wheels with overlapping spokes. ( The wood rimmed wheel that came along in ‘69 is 3” deep with one piece spokes. I looks like our ‘69 three spoke except wood not black rubber. It wasn’t available on Buick but was on Chevies.)
