~* 1969 Buick SportWagon Sport Wagon Gran Sport Vista Cruiser*~

Ya want something VERY different, cool and versatile?
Last year for the SW with the crazy, ultra rare, AmTrak style roof windows AND the two-way tailgate!

Go to Google and search Buick Sportwagon or Sport Wagon….

Clean title California car with its currently registered original BLACK PLATES that are in excellent condition (BIG deal in the restoration game….).

Has the optional 400ci engine (used that year in the Gran Sport) and Turbo-400 3spd autotrans. Both still very easy to work on and live with. Power steering and brakes of course.

Has the front disk brake kit already installed that she MUST have.

Has the forward facing 3rd seat! Great body with original Topaz Irid (gold) paint and same interior. Very clean and straight.

Lots recently done: HEI ignition, nice bucket seats and console, new heater core, timing chain, control arm bushings, upper ball joints, water pump, master cylinder, battery, etc.

Runs down the road real nice!

Has 15” Buick Rally Wheels and newer tires.

Only 82k well maintained, never abused miles.

The ’69 version is the only SW with the neat GM two-way tailgate with electric window. Works great!

VERY difficult to find one in this condition! I looked for a LONG time (they only made a bit over 11,000 of these in ’69 and few survived in this condition especially with the optional big block 400 and the T-400 trans versus most with 350/350!)...

I won’t even look at an E-mail (too much hacking SPAM).
This is not one of the $3,000 non-op beaters that you might, maybe find! GIVING away to the right person @ $5,500 cash only FIRM, no trades. 1st serious Buyer who knows of this rare model to see it buys it…
    No hurry to sell.
Call or Text Randy 760-seven one five-55 nine9.
    Thanks!

66electrafied Just tossing in my nickel's worth

Agreed; it's got potential. Pretty low option load for one of these.

I like it! Is that a custom Pontiac or Olds console without a shifter ? Wonder what the Buckets are out of ? Does anyone make the sport wagon Doorpanels ? I know they are different then just a 4 Door.

And a nice moderate and dry climate like SoCal is exactly where you need to find these so the rust issues are at an absolute minmum or non-existent. Wish the option load was more, though. These were some wagons with 'nuts'.

Quarters (especially right rear and spare tire well) and the floorpans are clean and solid. Frame looked solid and clean. Rear quarter windows were clean. Unless addressed by a prior owner, there was rust through in the rear storage pan, rust around the lower windshield pillar, right fender, left rear door, and front roof skylight area (right side especially). Rear tailgate and quarter had been hit by another car in a shopping center. Tailgate rolled down fine and door worked both ways. Evidence of older repaint. Car was sold new in March 1969 from Smythe Buick in San Jose and remained in SJ till 2007. Odometer showed 81k (2007 and 2014) and 400 motor is believed to be non rebuilt (at that time). Middle seat cushions were donors bought back east and shipped from a member at v8buick. Door panels are original and both headliners were excellent. Original bench seat was broken and tossed. I sold it in 2014 and it may have sold at least once after. Glad to see it still around and that its got some upgrades like disc brakes.
