Ihave a 1967 Buick Skylark with a 1977 Buick 350 that is worn out. I just purchased a 1970 Buick 350 so code. It is a fresh rebuild and the Machine shop told me they put 10.25 compression pistons and a cam to match the sp engines. Should I expect the same horsepower from my engine even though this is an S0 engine. I am going to put a four barrel intake and carb on it with headers and a electric ignition. This car was my daily driver for six years but has been sitting the last five I am excited to get it running and stopping again so I can drive it. I am going to leave the two speed auto tranny in it for now With hopes of upgrading to an overdrive when I have the money Thank you for your help and I hope to be a part of this forum Matt
I suggest you don't get the edelbrock carb unless your good at tuning internals of a carb. Best option for bolt on is the quadrajet rebuilt by quadrajet power. Or everyday performance. They do more than just a rebuild and tune for today's fuels with ethanol . which leans them out.
