You get charged before as a listing fee and after it is sold . I sell Vintage MX bikes and cars on there all the time.

And he thought he was not paying fees for ending it early. That is the reason he ran it as a no reserve and then ended it early. I asked already..

I have no dog in this fight. It's his perogative and well within the rules of eBay. You may not like it, but the guy really didn't do anything wrong. I've done the same thing on occasion. Maybe he just changed his mind.

Could be that he had someone locally that wanted it. He would be a fool to turn away someone standing in his driveway with a paper bag full of money.

As an FYI, cars are a flat fee. There is no final value fee charged after the auction ends

The Pay Pal deposit that you are required to get so people do not flake out on you gets a cut out of it.. So they get it up front and after the sale..

I got a message back from him and the car is for sale for $40,000.

Whats hilarious is this car went for 29 at Mecum in I think May. And it sounds like they can't even establish it as numbers match based on the Ebay ad.

LOL. Thats all I gotta say to that price. I didn't pay 40k for my numbers match Stage 1.

Generally speaking, there are no "deals" on Ebay.
