Doesn't say anything about documentation. I would think with that price tag they would have at least made sure.

 

I see the Q - Q data plate. Wonder what the story of the missing 24hr Rallye clock is?

 

At that price it should have the correct oil sender.

 

& not such horrid tailpipes, among other things.

This car would be very lucky to score a silver at the nationals. At that price it should have correct tires.

 

Just knowing which dealership it's at, I'm not surprised at anything that's found incorrect......

 

What about a ‘69 convertible with ‘68 headlight bezels, crooked horn button, and spraybombed dash for almost as much?

If you get a minute look at both doors and tell me what you see.... The body number is just 2 before my x ,built the same week

 

You are correct.Drives door was most likely replaced.the Gsx's we're the only car in 70 to get sport mirrors and they were mounted farther back than the standard mirrors

 

Now I know were I have my total perfection obsession from - YOU GUYS, LOL - all the car guys over here always refer to me as " the guy that always see what´s not right on the car"

 

For '71-72, weren't all the mirrors located farther back?

 

Yes I do believe 71 -72 doors mounts are back.Not trying to pick the car totally apart .I would love to have it ,but being around Buicks so much (and hanging out with Duane)you just kinda see stuff. Cheers

 

That's what I thought, but never knew that the '70 GSX used the '71-72 mirror location, meaning they likely used a "standard" '70 door on this car. So if one wanted to do a correctly sheet metal date coded '70 GSX, the driver's door is essentially another unique '70 GSX part.
