Well I've started my year off good so far........... I have taken two "Best Of Show" Tropheys so far this year. I was given the "1st Ever" "George Quinn Memorial Award", that will only be given out once a year. I also have to go back to one show that I took "Best Of Show" at to run for the "Best Of Show For That Month". What they do is each weeks winner comes back at the end of the month and the folks at the show vote for the best car out of the 4 winners and then that person wins the "Best Of Show For The Month" Award. Needless to say I'm very happy right now................... :beers2: Thanks for looking everyone.................... :TU:
I guess I have been late on updating this... The Shows have been good to me so far... I won Cool Rides On Line.net http://forums.coolridesonline.net/ September Ride Of The Month and than came in 5th in The Ride Of The Year Contest (which was won & 2nd Place under controversy, they have since changed how it is voted on)... I have won many Local Best Of Shows and have been Featured in many "Car Of The Day/Week/Month" Showcases... I was chosen in a Crusin New England (with Paul Mennett) Qualifier Event to be one of three cars featured at the North Adams, Ma Motorama on August 24, 2014... Info can be found here: http://www.explorenorthadams.com/THINGS-TO-DO/Events/Motorma!.aspx My Biggest Event so far has been the Goodguys Show that is held at the Big E on Fathers Day Weekend (June 13-15,2014)... https://www.good-guys.com/aanws-2014 I didn't go on Friday (most folks didn't because of the rain), but I made it on Saturday & Sunday... On Saturday they have different car judging events... I got there in the morning and found a spot by another Buick and parked there, about the same time a buddy of mine showed up with his Buick and we parked together... I haven't seen many Buicks at this show and low and behold now we have three right by each other ( two more showed up so we had a Buick Show Area :beers2: ) ... I was enjoying the show and at one point I was bringing stuff back to my car when my buddy said the judges were all over Matilda and that I was chosen as one of the Best Of Show Cars... I was chosen by BFG Tires as their Best Of Show, they call it "The Best Ride On BFG's"!!! I was amazed that out of some 2000+ cars at this show that I was chosen as one of the Best Of Show cars... I must say that I am very Honored to have been chosen out of all the amazing cars that were there over the weekend... I went back on Sunday (I was planning on it anyway) and got to park in the "Winners Circle Area" and than to end the weekend you do a "Parade Lap" to the stage with your vehicle were they talk about your car and award you your Trophy... That was a blast to do!!! Well from here it's onto the Motorama ( PLEASE come and Vote For Matilda if your in the area ray: ) and than Hopefully it's onto the Super Wheels Showdown...
