My ‘70 bumper is not original to my Custom Convertible and likely came from a base Skylark. I’m just glad to have a ‘70 bumper.
I bought my emblem from CARS in New Jersey. The angle isn't quite right at one end as well and there is a bit of a gap that cant be corrected by tightening. I cant imagine that there are numerous sources of this emblem being reproduced. Probably all from the same place.
Due to E.P.A. regulations, I believe that chrome/rechrome is not what it used to be. Still, where is the best place to send our bumpers? I have do redo both of mine. Best, Ranger Aiken, SC
I don't know if anyone remembers, but thre were some pre-production repros being sold of the 70 front bumper. So someone made some. When are they going to see the catalogs? Who know.
I bought the repro emblem and I can say the one I got was really nice and I would buy another one when I need it.
