I am shocked. I know I am a new guy here but respectfully you are making a mistake sir. The GM of Canada documentation is bullet proof.
Gentlemen, Until I feel comfortable with these Doc's I am not going to accept them. I haven't seen them before Dave posted them yesterday, until then I didn't even know they existed. So, until I am comfortable with them. I am going say no to them with out a second source for now.:TU: Thank You! Ron
Gentlemen, This properly could have been avoided if we had some help and insight. Please see post 37 requesting help! also post 71 requesting help! No one stated at all they would volunteered to help with this project!!! That is UNREAL with over 38,000 members, but that's OK. You didn't hear me complaining! I know all of us have a lot of things going on. The people hear who I did contact and who contacted me through PM'S I just want to say thank you for your time and effort. I will continue to move forward with this project, but we still need more Cars Gentlemen! Oh Merry Christmas to you and your family's!!!! Thank You Again! Ron
Ron, they Are trying to help providing you with facts. GM OF CANADA does not need your approval. Rich and Jason already explained it's IRON CLAD Doc's as you can get.... It's like me saying McKinley was never a President, because I never heard of him . Not sure how many other ways we can explain it to you ? good luck, DL
Hi DL, You are correct in stating GM of Canada doesn't need my approval for anything they want to do. I never stated they did. However I can say what I am going to do with the registry I am putting together. After spending sometime last night on the web looking into these Doc's for the first time. If you have GM of Canada Doc's with a Heritage Certificate with a seal to prevent unauthorized duplication(interesting???) moving forward they will be accepted. If you don't have an Heritage Certificate with a seal you will need a second source when the time come for verification. As Always Thank You To All! Ron
Gentlemen, We still have: (10) 1970 GS 455 4 Speeds (2) 1970 GS 455 Conv 4 speeds (1) 1970 GS 455 3 speed We are looking for a lot moreuzzled:! Thank You! Ron
I know you are requesting information on the '70 GS cars, however, I recently had the opportunity to visit one of my customers home shop and noticed that he had a '70 GSX - QQ - 4 Speed setting in the middle of it. The GSX appeared to be factory correct. Marv.
Yes. This picture of cars is on the Hemi side of his shop. If you look up in the ceiling above the yellow Viper, you will notice a large Buick sign. Marv.
70 455 4 speed, Triple Burnished Saddle, Split Bench, AC, Disc, (NO Pwr Steering)- Build Sheet Doc'd/Owned since 1988
Here is some production Information on 1970 Buick GS 455 4 speed cars. When ordering a 1970 GS 455 4 speed and (no cost standard HD 3 speed manual) Buick gave you an open, no posi, 3.42 rear axle. Of the 510 built, 218 left the factory with standard no cost 3.42 open axle. Of the 510 built, 220 where ordered with posi 3.42 rear axle. Of the 510 built 72 where ordered with G1 High Performance 3.64 Posi rear axle.
Some more good information! Thank You! I have a template made for the web site, but we need many more cars! Cost is high! Last count only (13) 4 speeds and (1) three speed Thank You! Ron
