well Jason its like the gsx stage 1 at BJ no documentation advertised ?? if its a private party sale who should know and who u going to ask
If its a non numbers car, the only way your really going to know if its a real Stage 1 is with the Wayne Roberts info.
one thing I'm sure about is the the master cylinder with no hold off valve ?? would that be power drums
Discs became mandatory in 71, so you could still get a Stage 1 in 70 with power drums. My car has drums
I doubt the seller knows anything about the car. Much less what numbers are supposed to be where. Looks like its a used car dealer btw...Is it me or are the mufflers mounted forward by the transmission?
he advertises private party so he is a broker just like barret Jackson he only knows what the seller tells him A good way to sell a FAKE, I see the headers but that's all I can see,, and the ds inner well doesn't look correct
Even if it is a fake Stage 1, that car is beautiful! I really dig the red with white top and interior, sexy and classy!
I posted this in a way with the thoughts of a classic car broker playing the I don't know card to increase the value , what would be the difference between a a gs 455 4 speed / stage 1 gs 455 4 speed IMO 20 to 25 thousand dollars
I sent him a message... Asked if I could go look at it..I'm always in that area....lets see what he says....
The bottom line is that the car will stand on its own merits. It certainly could be one of 664 or not. By the same token, it could of been an automatic originally right? Or a Skylark with a set of tags. You don't know till you look at it. I could probably rattle off 20 things off the top of my head that are wrong or incorrect about it just from the pictures. No headrests on the seats so they're possibly pre-69. Does that mean the car came with a bench from the factory and someone added the buckets and consolette? Are all the options the options the car has the options the car was "born with""? Who knows. Anyone who drops that kind of coin without the WR docs and a complete and thorough inspection, deserves what he gets Regardless of what it is, it looks like a really nice car overall (and the left side wheel well is the correct 70-71 style)
joe nice to put some eyes on it,,the motor looks fresh with headers maybe some racing history with a loop thanks Jason I might have to put you on the payroll I have a line on the exact car in black its been sitting since 89 but its a marriage gone south and she has it,
The Sloan museum should have the build information for this GS - 446370H150443 There is still time to get the VIN authenticated for potential buyers...
