Minneapolis.... Whats the over/ under on the frame being rotted to death? The rusty expensive project cars are coming out of the woodwork these days!

Sure seems like a plethora for sure.......I don't even share 90% of the prizes I "find" on my daily searches.

Ryans-GSX Have fun, life is short.

That was the first thing I saw also was that the fender emblem under GS looks to be a "Buick Motor Division" emblem. Someone is going to have to get the vin number to make sure its really a GS and my guess is its more work than its worth.

Looks like way more work than it’s worth, too bad.

Big pulley AC so it may still be the 342 posi it was born with, original BB fan shroud and hook,..my guess is it's a legit 455 car with some front sheetmetal replacement in its history

Late model valve covers, but its a 455, easiest way to tell in crappy pics like that is the alternator arm

Man, I was considering selling mine along with all the stuff I've accumulated over the years. This ad makes me feel better. I don't think I saw one panel on that car that didn't have a bunch of rust.

Would this not be worth it for less $$? It is a desirable car after all.

There is a good chance it will be so rotten it simply would make sense to bring it back. At $5500 it's worth thinking about imo

First thing I see/saw too, but the passenger fender was a repaint from seamist green(?). This is the next generation of this stuff guys. Ive looked at so much trash in the last few months its not even funny. This one had a restoration begun, 30 years ago on a dirt floor barn with that shiny new craftsman toolbox jimmy got for Christmas... Managed to get the headlight bezels off and probably bust the studs on the nose trim...then gave up.:(:( Is that a 59 or 60 Biscayne in black behind it? Looks like it was shortened to build a gasser. ws

Love to see the vin and trim tags. My 70 gs 455 was in worse shape than that one when I got it. That puppy is ruff.

Don't take our posts the wrong way Brett. We routinely scour Craigslist and Ebay ads and critique all the Buicks we see of interest. Its kind of a past time for us especially during winter :D:D

Looks like Ethan nailed it though on the sheetmetal change

Interesting, another Flint Bamboo Cream GS455 convertible. I don't remember whether my car had the Z in Trim Section, but mine also had 188 Black Vinyl Buckets.
