Trying to find a 70 GS dome light lens. The one's I have seen so far from OPGI and Parts Place are not the right size, one too long and narrow and the other one too large square dimensions.....Anyone have one? BDK
Hmmmmm, that's odd. Mine is rectangular with a center light portion and two switch controlled smaller lights....I'll post a pic... BDK
It's the wrong lamp. No GM A body cars I know of had dome/map lights at that time. I'm sure if you pull it you will find it's spliced in.
Shoot...well I actually kinda like it and wanna keep it...anyone have an idea what it came from and what type of lens fits it?
It's a Ford light, maybe like 69-79 or later LTD, Continental, Marquis, etc. Yours looks like it's not in great shape, you could probably grab another off ebay for the same as a lens.
Untill that picture,I was thinking lights for a convertible, they are about 1 1/2 inch long and about one inch high. That one,if its a Buick,it might be for a big car like a Electra.Anyway, for a hard top,the lights go by each side on the back and they are about 1 1/2 inch round.I take it you do have a hardtop, right? The sedan has different housings and covers. So I take it that you also need the housings.Bruno.
Bruno, Rear lights I am good to go with, they are all set. Yes, hardtop and the only light I needed a cover for was the dome light. Seems like it may be a Ford light.....just looking for a cover.... BDK
Actually, seems like it is a GM dome light from the 70's/80's.......http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dome-Map-Light-Lamp-Switch-GM-70s-80s-Models-Chrome-Metal-OEM/201869814588 BDK
Is that the one in the middle of the top? Most cars have the 2 lights on each corner, but if you need the middle light ,I now I have one,I just have to find it. Bruno.
Bruno, yes the one in the middle in the pic. It's really the only "cover" on the unit. Awesome if you have one..... BDK
