Does anyone know if there are part or date numbers stamped in to a 1970 GS hood and where are they? I think I may need some new glasses, because I can't find them. Ron
there should a part # stamped on the hood. I would suspect it to be stamped about the edge /border of the hood. or maybe where the hood spring assembly bolts to the hood.
yeh it seems I remember seeing a number somewhere down the passenger side edge that sits because the fender, but then i don't remember what i had for breakfast
CHEERS Ron, I have found date codes on the drivers side edge of the hood(the part that runs parallel to the fender) near the hood hinge Sometimes very hard to see,especially if it has a few paint jobs. Good luck. Tim
