1970 GSX Reproduction Steering Wheel pricing (2012) We are just now starting production and have all the costs figured out. The old pricing went as follows; $399 per wheel if you bought it outright $299 per wheel if you sent back a core. (This allowed a "core charge of $100 if you purchased a wheel.) If you sold me a core outright, without purchasing a wheel, I paid out $60.00 for each good core. I have kept this pricing structure the same for many years and have "eaten" all cost increases, but can do this no longer. At this time the material costs have risen to the point that I need to raise the price per wheel. Also for this batch of wheels I no longer paid $60 for a core but paid $100 for each core. This is an increase of $40 each for the cores I bought outright, from the guys that were not purchasing wheels. I will not be stocking any cores for future runs, which is why I bought everyone's core outright for this batch. Therefore I will not be taking any more cores in at this time and all wheels will be sold outright. After averaging out all the costs I am forced to increase the price per wheel by $60.00, this means the wheels will be offered for a price of $399 + $60 (added material/core costs ) for a total of $459.00 plus shipping. Shipping costs will be estimated according to zone etc. and each wheel will be insured. Here is how they will be offered for sale 1. ALL wheels will be sold one to a customer only, there will be no exceptions. 2. All customers that sold me their cores, with the understanding they also wanted to purchase a reproduction wheel, will get the first shot at purchasing a single wheel. (I will be holding that number of wheels back, for this purpose.) I will either contact these people by phone, e-mail, or through this board to verify their desire to buy a wheel. If you guys want to let me know on this thread that would be great, then we can go over the details later. 3. The wheels that are left for sale will be sold on a first come first serve basis. If for any reason the run is terminated early then the cut off will be determined by the order the sales were received. Assuming everyone who said they wanted one still do, this will leave approximately 15 wheels up for grabs. All wheels will be paid by either check or money order made out to, Classic Car Interiors 120 President Ave. Rutledge, Pa. 19070 I will let everyone know when their particular wheel is ready and when to send payment. There is no need to send the money right away. However, once contacted by phone, e-mail, or by a post on this thread, the payment must be received within 2 weeks. If not, then the wheel will be put back in the mix and offered to the next person in line. This is the only way I see to be fair to everyone. Thank you. Duane PS. All parts are located outside the Philadelphia area.
