    Gentlemen,
The redline tires on a 1970 GS. What is the original make Firestone or Goodyear?

    Thanks

My Fremont built 455 car has its original Firestone Wide Oval still in the trunk.

Old thread but what is the consensus here? On a 70 GS optioned with F8 redline tires, what brand is correct for an early Flint built car?

That's whats confusing me. The order form lists the G-60s as "Wide Oval" but we know the correct 15" tires are Polyglas GT's

The wide oval red line tire option for 1970 was G70-14. The only 15" tire available was with the F4 or F7 option "super wide oval white billboard lettered tires, G60-15.

Same with the wheels, all were 14" except with the F4/F7 option.

Wide Oval would be Firestone but you are correct the F4/F7 option also called them wide oval when they were Polyglass.
