I am looking at replacing a trunk floor on a '70 GS. Can anyone tell me where to pick up the best fitting trunk floor for this? Thank you
Gotta use a Chevelle floor, and work with the back side to get it work. How bad is yours? I'd do as little removal as actually needed AMD through Summit racing is the best fitting I've worked with, and Summit ships cheaper than anyone else will if you need a 1 piece pan
Have you actually done this replacement using the Chevelle pan in a Skylark? Other than the rear edge, are there any differences in the main stamping? Thank you
Done it several times,..they are slightly different around the jack area iirc, it was very minor tho. And possibly over towards where it goes up to the wheel house. But unless someone has come out with a Buick specific trunk pan in the past few years, you will be sent a Chevelle floor no matter what you " order". The stamped risers don't match up 100% so you gotta work with it but you can do the section over where the box is for the body mounts. That will eliminate any dress work to do on the outside. But you still got plenty to do on the inside. I done a full trunk floor in this 66 Chevelle and it was AMD and still fit like garbage many hours to get done,...
The Crosses we bear as Buick enthusiasts. Just thank God for the Chevy guys or we would be in deep doo.
A VERY reliable source on this board suggests using the Dynacorn '69 Chevelle one pc pan for the '70 Skylark body. Trimming only required at the rear area.
