Hi I have a 1970 Buick Skylark. I would like to remove the front passenger side inner wheel well. The car has air-conditioning. Do I have to remove the front fender to get the wheel well out? Or can I get it out without removing the fender.
    Thanks

Yes you can. I found my thread asking the same question. I removed the bolts and popped the bottom of the fender and unbolted the fender well. With some help we carefully pulled the fender out a bit and rotated the wheel well counter clockwise (towards the door) and it came out. The well has a few scratches on it where it touches the fender but the fender is fine.

It’s been a while but I still haven’t installed it yet. It’s so much easier to install everything on the firewall. I just crouch down under the fender and stand back up inside and lean on the engine.

Thank you everyone & 12 lives for this thread. Took fender wells off today and went pretty well. I have engine pretty much stripped down to paint it no brackets or ext manifolds. For some reason 3/4's of the top was painted orange, rest was still buick red. I going to get fender wells power coated. Any tricks, advice to reinstall? Thanks Jim
