    So - if a period correct engine I'd say it must be an SS transplant from another 1970 car. Otherwise it's an SR or SF engine from 1970 and of dubious correctness.

    Period correct would be any 70 455 motor, model correct would be SS.

    This car was for sale about ten years ago, unrestored, missing engine and transmission and all four speed parts. It had been sitting for a long time in a back yard. I remember this car from Boulder Colo. in the early 1980s. It was Diplomat Blue then.
