I am sure he was flooded with calls.

My reliable source tells me the car made it home late last night after a full day of driving/towing. Hopefully he will post pictures soon!

Would'nt mind !LOL.There are alot of cars I prefer with a vinyl top and some that I would'nt.I like my Sherwood green without a vinyl along with red,but most other colors on the 70 GS I would want a vinyl,Bamboo creme,White,Gold,Burnished saddle, and especially Black !!!!!!

Sorry for the delay in posting here, this car came smack dab in the middle of haying season amongst other things....I'm the lucky one who wound up with it. It's problably one of the nicest original-paint, complete cars i've ever owned!...it sat in a garage/barn outside of Cincy for the last 15 years, and prior to that was owned by the guys uncle who bought it in 71 or 72 from the original owner. It's been an Ohio car it's whole life, but has remained extremely rust-free with about 78,000 miles. I've spent the last day or so cleaning/buffing it to see what was under 15 years of barn dirt and it came out real nice....i'm half-thinking that i'll do the mechanical stuff and drive it for now and later have JC do a complete restoration. It deserves it...all numbers matching and cool options...sport wheel, WG wheels, tach/guages, map lite, F41 suspension and an upper peak moulding. Here are a few pics that i've taken....special thanks to Chris P. for the heads-up (funny how a guy from across the country has to tell you about a car in your back yard!!)...my plans are to get it running and still enjoy it this summer and eventually it'll get the presidential it deserves. Thanks all!...:beer
(I put the steelies/dogs on it as the WG's are pretty rough)

I would absolutely kill to have that car. I have been into Buicks since the early 80's and that is the car I always wanted..I have owned several and smooshed over several others, but I would take that beauty over a GSX any day! Glad to see it being appreciated..

Amazing what a little elbow grease did to the paint. I say blend in that front fender and have fun with it!

    Congrats!

Really, really......(I mean REALLY) nice find/car. Without a doubt the best that could be bought in 1970 (I love the GSX's but the wolfe in sheeps clothing is way better). No combination beats black, black. Did anyone notice it has the much discussed 4 speed boot with no consolette? Also wonder why the headlight bezels aren't painted below the chrome? Please, not knocking the car, I'd give my right ....well you know, just curious. I truely love seeing how the old warriors looked before we make them into what is considered today "carshow presentable". I'm with the other guy, blend the fender as best you can, make it safe (brakes, suspension, steering, etc) and drive the snot out of it!
    Congrats :beer

That is absolutely stunning! It looks waaaaaay better than the previous owner's description of the car to me via e-mail. I had to do a double take, I thought it was the black car that has been for sale on E-Bay recently. Congratulations, I'm guessing 20 grand wouldn't get it out of your hands now.
