What's the problem people, didn't you see the car also makes an excellent cinder block holder? Come on, that makes it worth 20k right there!

He just threw the $20,000 up there, if you contact him he says he has all sorts of parts for it and best offer was $5000. I think he just priced it generically to see who wants it.

I always place concrete blocks on the hood of cars that have a potential value of $150K. It just seems like the right thing to do.

A can of ether and it'll fire right up! A good example of all the rust prone areas to watch out for.

I don’t understand the folks that are reaching for the sky with these “parts cars”. They seem to come up for sale here too, and if someone is selling them, why don’t they dig in and restore these rot-boxes themselves first if they are worth so much. Oh yeah, it’s because the math doesn't work.

It would be interesting to see it out of the mud and what is left of it.. the pictures are awful but it might be worth restoring. It will certainly need some sheetmetal and interior work. It could possibly restored to a decent driver type car and not 100% concours correct and the buyer would have a real deal stage 1 4 speed car. This is assuming its # matching.. it has all the right options.

Yeah i wonder if the bottom of the bumper is pulled out or if he turned some sort of lens on with his camera and didn't notice.

So just for the hell of it, what do you folks think this car would go for if it was restored? Assume its a numbers matching stage 1, non ac, 4 speed 3.64 car that was aquamist with black interior..

Also what would you expect 20k would get you if you were shopping exclusively for a stage 1 4 speed 3.64 car?

That link isn't showing up on my end.

As for value after restoration: you have to take into account the fact that Aquamist Stage 1 cars were among the lower production numbers. If ALL the numbers are there, I'd venture a guess somewhere in the neighborhood of $90K or up.

I mean, if a triple brown, A/C, automatic car can snatch in the $80K range, this car - done - should fetch more.

Then again, that's just my opinion....
