1970 Stage 1 Motor.

I am looking for a 1970 GS Stage 1 Motor for a late 69 build.

 

Contact GS Fred An hugger they both had a 70 SS STAGE 1 engine block for sale.

I called this morning was looking for a distributor guys name is John nice guy he said he sold all the stage 1 blocks carbs and distributors he said he has one set of Stage 1 heads left I would call to doublecheck to make sure he has no SS blocks left.

 

Weisguy184, Any luck did he have any SS blocks left, an did you get his last set of STAGE 1 heads??

 

No luck yet with the SS block but I have a couple of fresh leads. John has the correct heads if I can find a block. Thanks again for your help! Marc

 

It is the same block as a 70 non stage 1 except for the SS stamp around the dip stick hole and another stamp with another car's partial VIN. I would not waste any money on it.

 

John's a good guy.. bought my stage 1 from him a few years ago. if he doesnt have it, he probably knows someone who does.. good luck on the hunt..
