    PRICE DROP!! $15000.00
I've decided its time to sell this car. I bought it in 2001 with the intention of fixing it up right but life and health issues seemed to dictate otherwise.
    Equipment:
1971 Buick GS Stage 1. Original M40 TH400 BB Trans with clear VIN stamp on side of case. Original 8.5" 10 bolt 3.42 posi rear with clear LWB stamp on pass side tube. The 455 engine is stamped TS on deck between cyl. 5 and 7 but it is a factory replacement block. B1E13708 stamped at front of block behind p/s pump bracket. It does have the correct 7041242 Quadrajet carb. The distributor is 1112109 which is a 350 unit with a gear change. Silver Fern with black vinyl top and interior. It has bucket seats with console. In-dash tach and gauges, Power disc brakes, tilt steering with Rallye steering wheel, power windows, cruise control, sport mirrors, A/C, N-25 exhaust cut out bumper, 15 X 7 Buick Rallye wheels with correct 71 center caps, heavy duty F41 suspension, AM/FM radio, rear defroster. And it still has most of the original tower clamps.
    Specifics/Condition:
I don't have any original paperwork. Only a reproduction window sticker was included when I purchased it. I have looked for a build sheet but was unable to find one.
The car starts, runs, and drives. The engine seems a little tired. The Trans shifts good and firm. There is a whine in the rear, probably a bearing. The tires are like new, the exhaust is like new. It looks like it was painted in the 80's and the paint is faded. The car has some rust issues that appear to be vinyl top related. I've lived in Maryland most of my life and around here, these cars rust out around the wheel wells more than anywhere else, but these wheel wells look great. The bottom of passenger fender has rust, not as much on drivers side. It will need a new core support. The trunk floor has some surface rust but is pretty solid, as well as the passenger and driver side floors. The drivers door is solid, the passenger door has some spots of rust. The grille is broken but I have a new reproduction that I purchased from the GSCA that is included in the sale. It currently has an incorrect 72 hood lip molding, but I purchased a correct 71 NOS hood lip molding that is also included with the car.
All of the glass is crystal clear, the stainless trim is straight, bright and shiny. The bumpers are straight and the chrome is great on the rear, the front bumper appears to be original and could use a re-plate.

I believe this to be a real Stage 1. It's a loaded Flint, Michigan car with sport mirrors, disc brakes, cruise control, BB Trans, and the right rear end. This is a rare car, one of 801 made in 71. I love the color combination of the Silver Fern with Black vinyl roof and bucket seats with console. It really needs a complete restoration. These cars are getting harder to find, and this one has a great combination of options.
$15000.00 Possibly interested in race related trades. Delivery could be available as well.
This car is not for sale locally, only here on V8Buick.

I don't know Phillip66 (suprisingly, at least I don't think I know him), but I do happen to live very close by and would be happy to look @ it although given the detailed description and pictures it doesn't look like there's anything he's not disclosing.

The car is sold (actually traded) pending inspection of each other's car.
We're about 500 miles apart so the logistics are a little challenging.
I'll post again when it's finalized or still available.

    Thanks,
    Philip

Ok, the deal to trade this car never went thru. I got a bad case of bronchitis on top of the flu and I was never able to trailer the car 500 miles in order to inspect each other's cars.
I've decided to drop the price down to $15000.
The race related trade is still a possibility and delivery is still possible after payment has been made.
I will also post another batch of pics.
