    Maybe this will help.

I have a Fremont built 72 Stage 1 4 speed. I do not have the HD air cleaner listed. Box 53 has an AN listed.

Thanks Redmanf1 and Richie. That info helps confirm the big block non-HD air cleaner decal.

Looks like the part numbers in the assembly manual do NOT match up to the decal number based on original decals and original build sheets from Stage 1 cars.

    455 w/o HD air cleaner = AN 6487175
455 with HD air cleaner = AO 6487176

Here are two photos taken this morning of our unrestored ‘72 Stage 1 cars and it confirms the info above.

Todd, if Dr Decal makes these, I’ll take two of each.

Is that possibly part # for the decal? Is the assy manual part # possibly an internal Buick part # for the entire air cleaner assy (in which case basically meaningless)?

As stated in my earlier post, the numbers in the 72 assembly manual are for the entire air cleaner assembly. It even states that on the page that was posted here.

Correction - On pg 162 I did locate the information. Must be old age or bad eyes!

What is the page number on the bottom right hand corner of the drawing?

The present offering of the AN sticker is not correct for 72, 455 engines. If the correct one was made, I would purchase 2 or 3.

I would be interested in a couple. That picture is from my unrestored Calf stage-1 convertible air cleaner.

    Guys,

Do we have any GS 350 Codes or original Decals to compare ??

Some love for the 350 cars:). There's a '71 350 emissions decal that isn't reproduced either. There's a thread on it here somewhere.

Guys, Thanks for ALL the info! I will be working on the "AO" & "AN" this week. Are there an other air cleaner decals that need to be reproduced correctly?

Ok so my Batch of "AO" & "AN" Decals are in transit and should be here early next week.

As quick as Mark was able to make these I'd really like to get the correct info for the 350 Cars. Anyone have a GS 350 with an original Decal still in place ????

Thanks again to Mark for making these so fast!!!

Yes the GS350's would be great. I did see on another post a 1969 GS350 as "BR" code.

There seems to be some (limited?) need for the correct late '71 350-4 emissions decal (I need one too). I'm sure it's tough to justify the low volume stuff but charge accordingly.

Ditto for '70 350 4-sp. (I Need that one too:)). I'm not even sure the correct '70 350 automatic is made (of course ea. '70 also has an early/late version for the plastic vs. Metal rad. cover).

Thanks for what you do for us!
