1972 Buick GS or Skylark front bumper strip kit. Original was three pieces with studs. This one piece reproduction is similar shape, size and finish.
Please ask if you would like more info or pictures.
This strip is attached with the adhesive tape and screws/washers in the back for extra adhesion.
Can be installed with bumper on car if grille and headlight surrounds are removed.
After strip is in place, excess length is trimmed at 45 angle with sharp razor blade/utility knife.

$50 plus about $5 for shipping.

    Hi Phil,

The strip is held on by the tape and the screws.
This strip is attached with the adhesive tape and self tapping screws and washers are included for extra adhesion.
First you clean the chrome with alcohol or prepsol before you begin. Then peel back the film off the strip and apply to your bumper. This is all you really need to do to hold it on. The 3M tape is very strong but this also means you want to put it on straight. You don't want to try adjusting after you apply it. You could probably put the srip on a 71 'slotless' bumper to make it look like a 72 but I have not heard of anyone trying it.

The self tapping screws in the kit go in through the slots in the 72 bumper and give you peace of mind. Tighten screws until snug, but not enough to dimple rubber. Now it's really on!

I got my car in 1983 when I was 16 and needed to replace the front rubber. I've probably sold over 50 kits on and off for the last 20 years and haven't heard complaints from anyone. If you have any more questions please ask.:TU:

    Ron.

    Hi Ron,
I have a 72 skylark and wanted to find out if you still have the front bumper strips available and if you do how much are they? I've never posted a thread so I hope I did this the right way.
    Thanks,
    John
