    Evening everyone.

Not to hijack the other thread. Can someone give me the correct part number or a picture of the correct coat hooks for a 1972 Skylark Custom? Also are they available in other colors or only black?

I see that OPGI has some. Want to make sure I get the correct type.

    Thanks,

    Kyle

Kyle, something in my memory banks says they changed after 70.

Yes,I have some from a 71-72,not sure which year, but they are thinner and have a curve to them.

Are you willing to part with a set? Are they different colors or just black? Could you post a pic?

    Thanks,

    Kyle

The '72 coat hooks do not have the "ridged" section/insert molded into them. They may be slightly textured as well.....I'll have to check. Both styles have a curve to them. I believe the hook on the L in my pic is correct. The hook on the R is the earlier "ridged insert" style.

The '72 style is also textured vinyl/rubber....earlier are smooth.

The one on the left is a 71-72 style, and the one on the right is the 69-70 style. I am not sure what 68's had.

68's may have had the ribbed style since I found some of the ribbed style even on earlier Corvairs.

    Kyle,
    What color do you need?

Brian either black or 1972 dark green.

They paint easily with clear adhesion promoter followed by lacquer

I should have green. The question is where. That is one of those things that I pass by them occasionally, looking for something else, but if I actually look for those,I will struggle.
