Hi there , new to this group, have a 72 GS 455 , can someone tell me what clips/screws hold the bottom of the plastic radiator shroud ?and where can i get some as mine is floading in the breeze cheers ,
Welcome to V8Buick! I am also in New Zealand. Sorry, I don't know about those clips, but I am sure someone else does. I have a 67 GS400.
No clips for radiator shroud. There should be two slots on the bottom of the shroud which will mount on the two pegs located on the bottom of radiator support, then two bolts on the shroud to the top of radiator top plate.
Yes, and there are two rubber insulators that fit over the two pegs on the radiator support and go inside the slots on the shroud so that the end result is a fairly snug fit. The insulators can be fabricated from rubber hose material if originals aren't available.
I have a set of those,I mean two metal brackets and 2 rubber insulators.I'm sure you have the 2 top brackets that bolt onto the radiator support,if you are missing those,I also have them.and welcome aboard.Bruno.
If that is your GS in your avatar it looks very similar to one that was offered for sale on this forum. Did you buy it from the States? It's a beautiful car.
Interesting that we are both in the Waikato. When I get mine completed and certified, we ought to meet up.
I am waiting for the humidity to drop so I can spray primer. Then comes the blocking, base and clear coats. Then reassembly. A ways to go yet. A few months, no more I am hoping. Who knows? Maybe less.
