I notice that on 72 LeSabres some of them have vertical grill bars and others have horizontal ones. Does anyone have any insight into this? and bonus question. Which do you prefer?

    Is the Centurion the difference.

More than likely a front end collision and they replaced the hood with an Electra hood, I would go so far as to say the fenders were replaced as well being that it has cornering lights, they were in option but I’ll bet they were added From the same Electra

Seconded vote for Electra front end. The "portholes" don't actually have holes but the porthole trim strips do cover holes in the hood. Go figure.
