Did a Riv ever have the vinyl top seam down the middle of the roof?

Still a good looking car, discrepancies aside. I like the color combination but my preference would be no vinyl roof.

With a good cleaning that ad would have snapped and the car might be sold.
I don't know enough of those things to work out the year, but it presents well enough, as I said though, a cleaning would have done wonders.
So is the verdict that it is a 71, or is it a 72 with a 71 front clip, implying a major accident?

It does not have the 1971 air ventilation flutes in the trunk lid.

I agree, first thing I thought was how much better it would present with a good detail. The vin is needed to know for sure, everything on the outside leans 71 except the trunk lid, the front lamp monitors were 72 but it was not uncommon for them to be added on 71's.

some oddities - but it's a nice looking Riviera! Love this color.

The color doesn't look quite right for either year, it looks close to 72 Royal Blue but could be a repaint of 71 Nocturn, if you look at the one picture of the right rear there is a large chip by the bumper that appears to be 71 Cascade blue.
