I just bought a reproduction battery tray. My car has not ever had the factory battery tray while I've had it. I can't figure out how it's supposed to attach to the body. There aren't any 2 holes in the tray that line up to bolt holes on the body. I also don't know if I might be missing anything. Can someone provide pictures of installing the battery tray - what it's supposed to look like with the tray removed and installed? Thanks in advance for the help.

(I think I have some of the factory manuals, but I'm not sure which ones.)

Don't have a picture, but should sit on flat front part of the inner fender. I had a replacement inner fender and core support when i was assembling my car. None of my holes lined up between the inner fender, core support, and battery tray, so I had to make some new holes and widen others to get bolts in.

You don’t have an assembly manual? There is a diagram in the sheet metal section. Line up the big holes over the screws already installed in fender well and it should line up. Clamp hole should be to rear.

I said I'm not sure which manuals I have. I've got many manuals for many cars.

I lined up the big hole over the bolt with the big washer and nothing else lines up. If it did, I wouldn't be asking here lol. Like I said, no 2 bolt holes ever line up.

I looked in the assembly manual and finally found the page with the battery tray. It didn't tell me anything that I didn't already know: the battery tray goes in the front passenger side of the car and bolts go through the tray into the piece of metal underneath of it. It didn't help with specific placement of the tray, nor did it show which bolt holes in the tray go to holes in the car. And, as mentioned, no two holes from the tray I bought like up to any two holes in my car. A picture of where exactly the battery tray is supposed to be placed would help tremendously, like I had originally asked.

Not sure if Olds, Pont. and Chevelle are the same or not. You could have the wrong one.

Iirc the tray sits closer to the rad support and there are 2 or three holes with welded nuts undeneath the rad support?
