Nice car, I like the color contrast of black exterior and that interior color. www.motorcarportfolio.com/product.php?id=12349
That is a good looking car, and I really like the interior with the black, too. That front bumper would make it about 5 minutes in my garage before the compressor and impact guns came out, and then some cutting devices.
Looks like a clean low mile car; I would suspect original miles since it appears to have original tower clamps and hoses still installed. My guess is that someone took a "plain jane" low option car and upgraded with sport wheels and steering wheel to jazz it up. Otherwise, the lack of air and power brakes is a draw back for that kind of money!?...
Colonnades are great cars, much better engineering/driving experience than the 68-72 A-Body and I own and love both....very difficult to find clean 73's because they started deteriorating on the dealer lots: rust, interior chalking, etc... h this one is interestingly optioned, with gauges and 4bbl and Custom interior..rare to see a brocade car with no center armrest. And Mach1, you think you'd move the bumper until you actually own or work on one, it's like having your own workbench right on the front of the car. Since you dont have the big 70-72 coolant overflow tank , you need somewhere to put your beer!
I've always loved the look and the style of these cars, it's just too bad they never came with powered bucket seats. I don't fit very well in these as a result. A buddy of mine had a GS 350 one of these, I told him to contact me when he sold it but he didn't, otherwise I'd probably own it. But the styling, yeah, I can dig that, and the bumpers were great as a portable bench; - never appreciated it until I had a car that didn't have them.
Who cares how much it weighs, it's gorgeous, and I wish I knew they did power buckets sooner. Now I have to go and find me one.
