This car sold at Mecum last year, with strong support from underbidders. There was no shill bidding, and I was as surprised as anyone that it sold so well. The values of the Stage 1/four speed cars have increased tremendously in the last five years since more have been coming to market and properly promoted at Mecum. The buyer & current consignor is a dealer, and if you looked at the two auction listing, it would be obvious that it is not the same consignor. The car was done to be a really nice car that could be enjoyed & driven without worries. As much as I love the '70-'72 Stage 1 cars, this '73 was a dream to drive. I respect everyone's opinions on what should be done to a car, but in the end, people do them the way THEY want to do them. The goal was never to make it a high point show car to be judged.

    Nicely put.

  3. I like it, a guy like me will never afford a 100 point car, this is a very nice driver/show car, I know
one thing for sure, if I hit the lotto and want a nice car I'm hiring one of you guys to inspect it, so
many things I'd miss on the originality on most of these cars.
