I have a friend that is working on my stock 1973 455. He is concerned about the stock heads. They appear to have been worked on before and asked me to please find out the basic specs of the stock heads. Are there any specs published any where?
Worked on in what way, I seem to have left my Crystal ball home today , lol! Valve job / size valves? Porting? Port matching? Guides cut for seals? Chamber unshroded? Deck milled? Seats installed? Heilcoil bolt holes? Stock valve sizes should be 2.00" Intake , 1.625" Exh. Stock peak flow numbers = 200cfm@28" on the Intake side , 150 or so cfm@28" on the Exh side.
