Yea this is the long lost 75 that has been on ebay before. Looks real, and this answers the question to as if there was such a thing as a 1975 GS. Very Rare car

Wasn't aware there was ever any question as to whether there were any '75 Gran Sports. Info I got from Buick back in 1979 shows 1288(?) made. (The writing is a little blurry.) Interesting in that it lists option code "A8" and next to that it says "Ginger Bread", whatever THAT means.

many online ref's don't show an A-body GS past 1972. even http://www.stage1registry.com/ only shows them to 74.

    crap. CRAP. CRAP!

it looks like http://www.hu.mtu.edu/~ddcronkh/index.html ( The Buick Gran Sport page )is gone. anybody know what happened to the page or where he got too?

i suppose it's too much too ask if someone saved all that info. :ball:

i transcribed your sheet to Excel. can you/would you check it for errors? i'm having a heck of a time trying to make some of that out.

note that i did dispose of the 73-77 general production #'s....

    You could get them in
    231 2 bbl
    350 2 bbl
    350 4bbl
I as well have 1288 total produced. I only have limited info on a couple. It could be the real deal here. They do have a specific looking grille emblem..

There's this student here in the Netherlands who bought an Antwerp, Belgium built model year 1975 Century GS the other day. (VIN code H for Flint, as usual for foreign build Buicks)
(His car is a 231 V6 with the GS option package)

    He's also a V8Buick board member: Freebird

The GS was no longer a sub series but an US$ 171,- option package for 1975.

I made a JPEG out of Bob's Exel sheet:

I was referring to a thread we had last year, when we were discussing none of us ever seeing one. They are very rare (and not many survived the crusher), a board member here had a picture of one he took that was for sale and then this one came up on ebay after that discussion. I would really like to see one that has been restored just to get a feeling for what they were really like new.

FYI we did not include the 1975 in our thread as to which GS was the best looking year. Anyways someone should buy this thing so we don't have to keep seeing it on Ebay. I think it could be restored with donar parts from a 75 Century. Anyways, Ramble on:beers2:

I had two of them back in the 80's (with the build sheets)....I'll post some pics. Wish I still had one of them that was midnight blue with the thick gold strips...white buckets and console. It was a nice car and very comfortable.

Last I saw one was around 1988 in Lorain Ohio. Was a couple blocks away from my first wifes familys house. It was a white 75' with the black stripes and GS markings, gauge pkg, tilt, rally steering wheel, red buckets/console interior, rallys, 350-4 w/air cond. and t-tops. Looked like a stock 13 yr. old Ohio car at the time but still very saveable. He was a bit strange had quite a few older cars around his yard but wouldn't come off the GS when I asked him about selling it. After awhile of purposly driving by his house in my own 75 Century at the time I finally just gave up on it. Don't know what ever did happen to it. Figured it was just an appearance type package but it was way cooler than mine.

Here is another one that popped-up on an auction site here in The Netherlands:

Ad says it had been stored there for the last 10 years; has a V8; broken windshield and some minor things

    owner has it since '82

i'm kind of thinking about going to have a look maybe
    not that i'm planning on buying ( already have a 75 century v8 )
    but a 75 gs v8 is way cooler that a clone . . .
    maybe a daily driver ?
