    Hi people,

excuses for my poor language, i am flemmisch (like dutch).
    I own a 1978 Riviera with a 403.
The engine is ok, but the body is rusted away.

Local there is not much to find here Belgium/Holland/Germany.

So my question is : anybody has a nice one for sale?

    Thank you

    Tony

    Erik,

    Sorry for the no response.
I did find a olds delta 88 back then, and interchanged the doors. Only the studs for strip had to be grinded of to make it a perfect fit.
Now the rest is getting rotten.

But thanks for the tip, worked perfect.

I have a friend with two 77-78 Buick Electras. One has a 350 Buick engine while the other has the optional 403 Olds engine. The one with the Olds 403 will run circles around the one with the 350 Buick engine.

From the standpoint of torque which leads to better acceleration the 403 is the king.

I agree. the 403 has to much torque. Even in complete original build that engine kills the bands and disks in the th350.
Mine had 3 rebuilds on 160k miles. And i drive like an old lady.
    I love the old car.

The one on craigslist looks great on picture. Price is ok, i think.
I never bought a car on picture, and never in USA.
Did send a mail for more info.
Anybody advice on how to go with transport? I`m a real noob on this. What would be a correct price? USA to Belgium?

    Thank you

Is there anybody here that knows somebody to go abn check it out?

    Thank you

    Tony

A real niche car. Two showed up in the East El Paso U pull a few years ago... Good metal parts throughout. Could not sell a single part. A better chassis and more substantial than the 79 - 85 Oldsmobile 350 FWD powered examples imho. The front end looks like it was the inspiration for the 82 - 87 Regals.

The best description you can make is indeed a niche car. Here in Belgium nothing to find.
But thanks to this forum i just bought one. I hope it looks as good in real life as on the pictures.

Very nice to drive with the olds 403 engine.
