Been looking everywhere to no avail. Where can you find the ac/heater hose that came in older cars. All I can find is cheap plastic stuff that classicbuicks sent me. Would take much to stick a hole in this stuff. I suppose it is made by motormite/dorman, but the real stuff with fabric would be much better and more durable. 1970 model, 2 and 3/4 inch hose for ducts

I recently saw some duct hose at www.oldairparts.com that might be what you need. I didn't notice what it was made of, but it can't hurt to look.
You could also contact the folks at www.ackits.com and see what they can supply.
I've used the plastic type in aftermarket installs, it's not as fragile as you might think.

I have a nice longer piece and a couple shorter pieces from a Riviera parts car that was in the mountains of WV. In other words they have not been subjected to excessive heat and low humidity that dries them out. I can flex them without cracking. Rarely do I run across used ones that are still pliable.
Was going to put them on ebay but if you're interested email me and we can work offline.

    Jason,

I could be interested in these depending on the length. Let me know if it gets to me and pm me on what you would sell for.

I do not believe the Cars guys have the correct size. You need to check the Ames Performance Pontiac guys. They list the exact type hose in the correct size. It is cheaper than the Oldbuickparts stuff as well. I think George uses the plastic replacement stuff.

Could you tell me Ames' part number for the hose? I've been looking for that size, also.
