Your right, however it took a couple of races for everyone to see that I didn't know what the hell I was doing! p I appreciate all of the help and I will admit that dropping my time by .15 sec was worth the 1600 mile round trip!
Hey, I found the top ten PS results from 1998 floating out there on the internet. Bob Karakashian's 12.52 @ 107. and John Chamberlain's 12.57 @ 110. were the top ET and MPH for the event. This year we had 10 cars under Bob's ET and 16 cars faster than John's MPH....in 6 short years. Before someone brings up ringers and cheaters, I'd like to point out that the even has grown in popularity and that more guys are building a car for these events than there were just 6 years ago. Hell, Miller has built more than 6 cars for the event in less that 6 years. I am guessing the steady march of cars into the 12's is just the competative nature of racings, and guys finding the best combos to maximize, and not a lot of hidden from tech tricks. Given the fact that many of the fastest cars are certified, I think once you go past the "PS is BS" first glance look at the numbers, it really does make sense that the cars today are that much faster.
