It took me a while to find this resource so I wanted to share it with anyone who might be interested https://www.nhtsa.gov/part-583-amer...ican-automobile-labeling-act-reports-listings
Many of these cars, such as the full-frame big Fords and the rear wheel drive Mopars were built in Canada. I would be interested to see how the percentages break down. For example, if the engine is assembled in Canada, how many of it's internal (or external) parts were manufactured in the USA? Is the engine considered to be 100% of Canadian origin even though 60% of it's parts came from the USA? As an American citizen I would like to see more of the supposedly US-built products actually built in the United States, but as my mom used to say, "there are lies, damn lies, and statistics."
Look for all the metric fasteners and bolts. That's the Canadian stuff. If your 1/2 in wrench fits loose on a nut but it looks like it shouldn't, it's a 13mm and sourced to Canada.
