I will rescind my comments about the 6.0L Ford. Had a 2006 f250 6.0L in the schedule today for coolant loss. Has a failed EGR cooler. $$$

Well, soooo, last week issues continued, pulled 5 codes, topped off the def, maybe 1 gallon, and headed off to work, 120 miles one way... About 15 minuets into the drive, the def light went out... 2 days later while driving home, I stopped to get fuel, about 15 miles from home, as soon as I started the truck, “def poor quality” and “ check engine” light... Today I headed off to church, the truck decided to tell me, “55 mph limit on restart”...... Cleared 3 codes at church; p249d, 207f, and p20ee, made it home under 55mph, added def, Maybe 2 quarts, truck is getting towed to the damn dealer for a Thursday appointment.......

Truck had the smoothest ride, up to the dealership.. I didn’t think they’d work on it until its’ scheduled appointment on Thursday, I was wrong., Service guy called to get details when the truck arrived yesterday, then called me this morning to tell me what “they found”, “NOX sensor 2 is bad”.. I’ve read that they had to be replaced (1&2) in pairs, he said NO... So now what, “diagnostic fee, nox sensor, diesel regeneration, and my scheduled oil change, about $1000”......... I told him, “we’ll discuss that number, I have lifetime oil changes, a service credit, and AAA discount”..... Said it’d be done by the end of today, to bad I can’t pick it up until Friday payday!!
