There really is no definite answer to that question Kenny, it depends on what else is done to the engine. It may or may not make much difference.

Engine masters say its worth 10hp at the 600 hp level

not worth the $$ , until your way over 500HP.
for a street car, that is 90 % of the time under 5000 rpm.
use a nice 2 1/2, with good low restriction mufflers,

Using 3" duals means not having to bother with uncapping the headers when you go racing.

My buddies car has never been on a dyno, years ago in BG I ran it at the nats. At that time it had 2.5" exhaust with a Hooker 2.5" X. The local mufffler shop welded in the X and used compression bent elbows that necked down to 2-1/4". In the tailpipes were bullet mufflers, the car was very quiet. At 3900 lbs (I was driving) it went a best of 11.25 @ 117 mph. The following year we returned with a Torque Tech 3" system, 3.5" off the headers into and X and then 3" all the way to the bumper. The best pass was 11.12 @118.7 mph. The air was comparable even though the runs were a year a part. He got almost 0.15 / 1.5 mph and gained a lot of noise. I will say it sounds awesome! So you can decide for yourself what is more important. I would estimate his combo to make 570 ish hp (give or take).
