No I will just keep the 212.From what I read it does good in A stock motor. But I do like the sound of A radical camed up motor, but you have to have the right stuff to work with it.

    Good idea!
Don't be fooled into thinking a lumpy idle equates to massive power.
I had the TA 413 cam in my 350 GS, tons of low end, idled pretty smooth. Was at a Test and Tune lined up with a Chevy truck with a big lumpy cam, I blew his doors off, he went home after that.
You'd be surprised what a Buick 350 can run with at the track:D

Back in the late 90,S when I was in high school, every one and their brother drove A fox body 5.0 mustang. I bought my 72 GS 350 about 2 weeks before I graduated. The first morning I drove it to school ,I pull up to intersection their went one of my buddies in his 5.0.I pulled out behind him ,and we came up on A straight stretch I pull the GS back in to 2 kicked 4 barrel in and it was on .And went around beside him,we ran side by side for A little bit ,and I pulled away from him.I smoke that mustang, and he was A lot lighter than me .

I had a stock low compression new long block 350. It had stock everything except for edlebrock HEI and adjustable oil regulator. Motor was reliable and started on coldest days zero issues. When driven hard it seriously ran out of breath 4000rpm, fell on its face. I bought a set of ported iron heads, had them milled .20, stage 1 springs, valve guides and retainers installed at motor shop.I used TA .20 head gakets as well. Tried to raise CR a bit. I paired it with a TA intake also ported, a new Qjet carb, hooker headers, and TA 212 cam. Engine pulls well past 5500k and sound amazing. Makes great drivable power. Has very slight lump at idle. Im running super 10 flowmasters and its way too loud. Going to use flowmaster 50s. I can say the engine is night and day.
