What size socket do I need to rotate my engine by hand? Gonna have to buy one as I don't have any large sockets.

24mm or 15/16. I recommend half inch drive ratchet and at least a 6" extension. Don't put too much force on it though, you can strip the bolt, but I've never had that happen.

Take out the spark plugs and it'll turn alot easier.

Thanks for the tips, guys! New Pertronix III coil and billet distributor went in with absolutely no problems. Started easier then it ever has last night, and it was about -2° outside!

DEADMANSCURVE my first word : truck

i got a comp cam crank socket , can't remember the part # . and can't remember the $$ , i'm sure it was more than a regular socket .
" had to have it "
edit : memory fail so i checked - its not a regular socket , it's a splined socket that goes over the crank snout with keyway . 1/2" drive . about $40-$50 .
    Comp #4798
