Is a 350 Qjet 7040244 a 750 cfm and is it worth rebuilding for a 455 application,118 cam,10.1 compression, iron heads and headers.

It is 750, but you will have to resize the air bleeds for the larger amount of air that the 455 requires at idle

I would aim to start with a big block carb, 400 and up. Got a quality 67 430 750 carb for sale right now

I'm not sure if this holds true for 100% of Q-jets but...

Rebuilt by Ken at Everyday Performance two years ago. It has been run on my car for about 1000 miles and tuned with an AFR gauge while street driving. PM me?

The only Q-jets that are 800 CFM are 1971 and up 455 carburetors.

It is a 750 cfm. As long as it is jetted for a 455 you should be ok. I use a 7041244 which is a 71 350 carb on my White car with the 455. Works like a champ. Ran that same carb when I was running 11.60's.

    My best qjet is a 1970 350 replacement I rebuilt years ago. 455 went 12.40 w it.
Worked great till day it died.
Plan on getting parts from cliff ruggles and reading his book again.
